The driver of the car that was used to shoot Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Amritsar, Punjab, on Friday had images of comedian Bharti Singh in it, according to the Punjab Police.
By India Today Web Desk: The car of the man who shot Shiv Sena leader Sudhir Suri in Punjab’s Amritsar on Friday included images of comedian Bharti Singh and the Maninderjeet Singh Bitta is the All-India Anti-Terrorist Front’s leader.
Sandeep Singh, a business owner of a clothing store who goes by Sunny, has been named as the assailant. Despite Sudhir Suri having extensive security, Sandeep shot him while he was holding a dharna in front of a temple.
Sandeep used a legal weapon to shoot Suri five times before being immediately taken into custody.
How many security officers were present with Suri at the time of the shooting is something the Punjab Police is currently investigating.
According to India Today, police seized Sunny’s car and discovered pictures of comedian Bharti Singh and All India Anti-Terrorist Front leader Maninderjeet Singh Bitta inside.
Sunny, the owner of a clothing store, shot Suri as he and other leaders staged a dharna in front of a temple.
Sunny, who used a legal firearm to shoot Suri five times, was detained right away.
