BJP Strongman of Karnataka B S Yediyurappa denied on Thursday that he is being ignored by the party and asserted that no one can defeat him politically because of his own strength.
Meanwhile, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai denied rumours that he had issues with Yediyurappa, his predecessor.
“I’m not being neglected, which is a false accusation. Before heading to Koppal, the district headquarters town, where J P Nadda, the party’s national president, attended a session alongside Bommai, Yediyurappa told reporters in Bengaluru, “I am attending all the programmes.
Yediyurappa first opted not to attend the Koppal function, according to individuals close to him.
He declared he will take part in the programme on Thursday morning. He said that since he was required to attend party events, no one needed to invite him.
When asked if he declined the invitation since he received it at the last minute, Yediyurappa responded, “There is no truth in it. Yesterday, I was unable to travel there. I chose to take part because I felt pressured to go to the event.
The party veteran said, “There is no truth in that. There was no attempt to kill him politically. Nobody can kill another person. I am strong in my own right. I have worked hard to elect BJP and have strengthened the party. The whole state is aware of this. He claimed that everyone was aware that he was one of the significant figures who worked nonstop for the BJP. Therefore, the claims that he was being neglected have no meaning.
Yediyurappa predicted that the BJP, led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah, will win 140 seats in Karnataka, speaking to media in Koppal. “The BJP is a unified front. We’re going to take over. So, we require the support of the populace, remarked the former chief minister. Additionally, he ruled out another run for Chief Minister.
“I have no desire for power. We are all working together to achieve my one goal, which is to restore the BJP to power, added Yediyurappa.
Yediyurappa stated regarding his son B Y Vijayendra’s upcoming Assembly elections, “I have urged Vijayendra to compete from Shikaripura. He will run from the location that the group chooses. The BJP’s choice will stand. Any disagreements between Bommai and Yediyurappa were ruled out.
All of it is a lie. Yediyurappa is our absolute ruler. We carry out all of our tasks with him in the forefront. The Chief Minister declared, “We have his blessing.
Bommai asserted that there are no distinctions between him and Yediyurappa and predicted that individuals who made such assumptions would be let down.
“My connection is one of father and son (with Yediyurappa). Therefore, it (differences) will never occur at any time for any cause. Those who anticipate it will be let down, “said said.
No one can end my political career, claims Yediyurappa amid Rumors of Being Ignored by the BJP
